Stone Island Soft Shell-R Jacket with PrimaLoft Insulation, Navy, Size XL

A Stone Island Soft Shell-R jacket in navy with PrimaLoft insulation, one of the pieces where the brand's fabric research is the whole point of the garment rather than a detail on the label.

The fabric is a two ply performance material rated to an 8000 mm water column. The outer face has the look and the give of jersey and is laminated to a breathable, windproof and waterproof inner membrane, so the jacket moves with you instead of fighting you. Inside it is quilted with a layer of PrimaLoft, an insulation built from ultra fine fibres that trap millions of small air pockets. It gives you the soft hand of down without the bulk, and unlike down it keeps insulating when it gets wet.

The front closes with a diagonal zip, a cut Stone Island uses to keep the chest clean, and there are two zipped front pockets. The Stone Island compass sits on the sleeve.

Navy makes this one of the easier pieces to place. It sits well over baggy jeans in a light blue wash, which is how we would wear it.
