Stone Island Vintage Technical Hooded Jacket – Teal Green – Size L

A vintage Stone Island technical hooded jacket in a muted teal green. The interior label reads Sportswear Company S.P.A., Via Confine 2161, Ravarino (MO), Italia, the address Stone Island has worked from since the brand began.

The construction is pure Stone Island: an outer shell of 57% polyamide and 43% cotton finished with a polyurethane coating, which is what gives the fabric its dry hand and its resistance to wind and water, backed by a full 100% cotton lining so it stays comfortable against the skin. The result is a jacket that feels technical from the outside and soft from the inside.

The front closes with a two way zip. The hood draws in on a cord with metal stoppers, there is a large flap pocket across the chest with a vertical zip pocket set into it, two more flap pockets sit at the hips, and drawcords pull in both the waist and the hem. The cuffs close on three press studs, and the removable compass badge sits on the left sleeve.

The hardware carries the Sportswear Company lettering around the snap buttons, a detail the brand used on its vintage pieces and one of the first things collectors check.

On the colour: this is not an olive and not a sage. It sits between green and blue, a desaturated teal that reads green in daylight and petrol under warm light, the kind of shade garment dyeing produces and flat colour never does.
