A vintage Stone Island navy jacket built around a detachable padded liner, which makes it three garments in one. Wear the shell on its own in spring, the liner on its own as a light jacket, or the two together through winter. Both interior labels read Sportswear Company S.P.A., Via Confine 2161, Ravarino (MO), Italia, the address Stone Island has worked from since the brand began.
The outer shell is a 65% polyester and 35% polyamide blend in navy, a hard wearing technical mix with a dry matte hand that holds its shape. The liner is a separate garment in its own right, finished in black on the outside with an olive green interior: a polyamide face with a 100% polyurethane coating, a full polyamide lining and a 100% polyester padded fill, quilted throughout.
The liner attaches with Stone Island's loop and eyelet system rather than a zip, and the instructions for it are printed on a panel sewn inside the liner itself. That panel is one of the details that makes this piece recognisable, and it is still fully intact and legible.
The navy sits easily next to a regular blue wash denim. Pre loved and in good vintage condition, with the honest wear you would expect from a piece of this age and nothing that gets in the way of wearing it.
